Warren Bests Ober for 3rd Consecutive Month in State Attorney Race

Tampa, FL — During a month when Mark Ober was “bringing out the big guns” according to political observers, the embattled State Attorney still fell short of his challenger for the 3rd consecutive month.

“I can’t thank our community enough for their continued support.” Warren said, “I told them I needed their help to continue my service for Hillsborough families, and they stepped up.  I think it speaks to the enthusiasm for new leadership in the State Attorney’s office.”

Warren has been on a fundraising tear since entering the race.  In his first three months, he’s raised over $127,000.  By contrast, Ober raised just $64,000 during that same period.  Despite holding a fundraiser with controversial Attorney General and Trump supporter Pam Bondi, Ober was only able to bring in about $42,000 compared to Warren’s $44,000 haul in March.

“We knew Mark Ober would call in 16 years of favors for his fundraiser this month.  The fact that he still came up short shows us two things: there’s enthusiasm for Andrew Warren, and Mark Ober’s supporters are hedging their bets.” Tom Alte, Warren’s General Consultant said.

In addition to outraising Ober for a third consecutive month, Warren added high profile endorsements from Tampa Council Chairman Frank Reddick and Councilwoman Lisa Montelione in March.  He’s also been listening to voters’ concerns and building his grassroots team at events around Hillsborough such as Tampa Pride, neighborhood watch meetings, and dozens of “lunch and learn” events with undecided voters.
